Brain Surgery While Awake

I am seriously considering having this next brain surgery while awake. The surgeon can know what parts of the brain are safe to touch and not to touch by asking you during surgery to move certain body parts.

There is nothing I wont do to preserve the best quality of life.

  1. If the docs really really thought there was an advantage, I'd consider it too.

  2. Got my brain surgery last february ... I signed the "green light" to brain awake for the same reason you wrote here. Unfortunately they had some tech issues with one of the machines and I got awake only after the surgery.
When they introduced me the "awake chance" I had no doubts at all ... I trusted them 100%, that's the only thing wich count.
